The design inspiration for Pericles, Prince of Tyre was pulled from amphoras and frescos from Ancient Greece. For each of the characters, I used colors found in dyes at the time with a little artistic liberty where colors represented the character’s personality. Color was also used to show the familial relationships between characters from the same house.
