Broadway Music Circus
Position: Costume Crafts Artisan
Shows: Kinky Boots, Carousel, Kiss Me Kate, Something Rotten, The Secret Garden, and The Color Purple
Over the course of three months, I worked on six shows for Broadway Music Circus as a costume crafts artisan. I painted, repaired, and quick rigged shoes for a full theatrical cast for six shows. I also applied rhinestones to both shoes, props, and costumes for Kinky Boots. During multiple shows, I dyed and distressed costumes. For Something Rotten I built a Renaissance hat. For the floral floor in The Color Purple, I cut out the felt, and a team of people and I attached each flower individually to the felt.
The floral floor is made from four large heavy-duty felt quarter circles and fake florals. I cut out the felt, and a team of people and I attached each flower to the felt.
